Useful advices

The European Union established a set of rights for air passengers’ proper treatment.

Denial of boarding

in case the number of available seats is fewer than the number of passengers, the air carrier must first call for volunteers to give up their reservations in exchange for agreed incentives, such as the possibility of a ticket refund (on a free flight to the initial departure point, as the case may be) and to ensure an alternative way to reach the final destination. In case there are no volunteers to give up their reservations, the air carrier must pay a compensation:

  • EUR 250, for flights below 1500 km.
  • EUR 400, for higher distance flights inside the EU
  • EUR 400, for flights between 1500 km. and 3000 km, outside the EU
  • EUR 600, for flights beyond 3500 km., outside the EU

The air carrier must also secure:
 
1) Ticket reimbursement and flight free of charge to the initial departure point, when necessary or passengers’ transfer to final destination. It is the passenger's option.
2) Hotel accommodation and transfer from and to the hotel. Moreover, all communication facilities, meals and soft drinks shall be borne by the air carrier.

Cancellation

In the event of flight cancellation, the air carrier must offer

  • Hotel accommodation including the transfer from and to the hotel including all communication facilities, meals and soft drinks.
  • The air carrier is spared from paying compensation (the aforementioned amounts) in case of boarding denial by passengers only if they had been informed in advance and had been offered alternative transfer possibilities that will not differ temporally from the initial agreement.

Posterior claims

In case of flight delay at any place in the world with EU carrier liability, passengers may claim compensation up to 4.150 SDR (SDR=). If for any reason, the air carrier has not accepted to compensate passengers, the latter may bring the case before the court.

Long Delays

Should there is a flight delay for more than 2 hours (for flights below 1500km) after check-in, regarding any flight including  charter flight, departing from an EU airport or with destination an EU airport from a country outside the EU, if the flight is operated by an EU company, in such a case passengers can immediately file a lawsuit. 

Useful instructions

  1. By choosing deposit as mode of payment, the reservation is fixed without charging the credit card.
  2. By clicking on city codes, airport codes and cities are displayed in English.
  3. My travelnet is searching thousands of flights throughout the world with availability of seats and is presenting them to passengers starting from the most affordable ones.
  4. Flights search may be based on the air carrier of passengers’ preference.
  5. Reservations are cancelled only by my travelnet upon passengers’ request through email.
  6. Booking is completed through email confirmation
  7. Tickets are issued by my travelnet and are sent to the address chosen by passengers.

Issue & delivery of tickets

My travelnet is contacting you through email for the final reservation confirmation prior to issuing the tickets.

For any reservation through my travelnet, tickets and payment receipts are issued by the Gelasakis Shiping and Travel Center assuming the full responsibility.

Tickets are delivered within 24 hours in Athens.
while for the rest of Greece are delivered within 48 hours.For customers abroad, delivery will be carried out within 3 days.Air tickets may be picked up at the air carrier guichet at the airport of departure without cost of dispatch because the reservation is recorded in the air carrier’s e-bookings system. In case a paper ticket must be issued.

General terms of use

Transactions terms

Using mytravelnet webpage and its services, every user accepts the General Transactions Terms being applied and governing all reservation orders, whether they are electronic or phone orders, directly at the Company's offices. 

Mytravelnet serves as mediator between users and providers of every tourism service; for this reason, users must go through the General Transactions Terms of the service provider (air ticket, ferry tickets, car rental e.t.c).

Resrvations

By making a reservation through my travelnet webpage or through the company's call center, the user is sending a binding order to my travelnet to mediate with the provider as regards the travel service to be delivered. 

In the event of a change on the travel provider’s liability, mytravelnet will try to communicate and promptly inform the user. Mytravelnet must be promptly informed by the provider; otherwise it shall not assume any responsibility.

The user is responsible to abide by the rules fixed by provider and receive information accordingly.

 In the event of violation of mytravelnet webpage general rules, mytravelnet reserves the right to reject the user's reservation.

Prices 

Mytravelnet shall assume no responsibility for any price changes or cancellation fees by the service provider. Mytravelnet remuneration for the mediation between the user and the provider is included in the overall price paid by the user.

Modes of payment

As regards air tickets bookings, you may follow the modes of payment, described in detail during reservation.

 Payment may be effected either through our webpage or by phone through the reservations department charging the credit card.
 Moreover, repayment may be realized through deposit accounts in the following associated banks (ALPHA BANK, ETHNIKI, EMPORIKI, PIRAEUS BANK, ΕUROBANK) and in cash or by credit card at each company's offices.

In case the customer wishes to book air tickets from companies operating mostly in cheap airfare (e.g easy jet), it can only be realized through a customer's or company's credit card, if tickets are booked and purchased at the company's offices.

For hotel reservations or packages including air ticket and hotel accommodation, payment is effected only by credit card, in case the reservation was made through mytravelnet and through a credit card, or with a bank deposit, in case of phone reservation.

In case of a ferry ticket reservation through mytravelnet, payment is carried out exclusively by charging the credit card, while for phone reservations, the options available are bank deposit or payment at the company's offices.

Foreign credit cards shall not be accepted.

Tickets will be dispatched only after being fully paid.

Mytravelnet may request substantiating documents certifying the user's data prior to tickets issue, whether a credit card copy or a copy of the deposit.

Resrvation confirmation

To confirm your reservation, in case of purchase or simply a reservation of one or more of the services we offer through our webpage, an email is sent and the customer must check all reservation information and inform as soon as possible should any errors arise.
In case of late errors reporting in the existing reservation-after the lapse of 48 hours- no modification is allowed and the customer has no right to take action against the contract. 

Dispatch of tickets

As regards air tickets, being now e-tickets, they are sent by email to the declared e-address.
The only thing required from passengers is to display at the airport during check-in the number of the electronic ticket to be dispatched.
During check in, the data on the ticket must be totally identical to the data of the passenger's identity card.
As regards ferry tickets, they may be sent by courier or be picked up in our offices.
Through email, the customer may receive all the documents required and pertain to hotel bookings (voucher), cars and organized trips.

Travel documents

The customer is bound to hold all documents required for traveling.
My travelnet shall not be held liable for any omissions on behalf of the customer.

Cancellations - Changes

The terms for tickets cancellation and modification depend on the terms fixed by providers. My travelnet shall not assume any responsibility regarding cancellations and changes, governed by terms imposed by other providers. The cost possibly arising from such modification is exclusively borne by the customer.
In the event of a ticket change or modification, the customer is bound to inform mytravelnet in writing in order to proceed to any change. Otherwise, the responsibility shall encumber the user himself who must read the fare rules prior to any move.

My travelnet proceeds to the modification of any reservation, without any extra charge. Tickets cancellation depends on the time it is realized and the terms and conditions applicable for all travel agencies.

Beyond the charges applying for providers regarding any changes in air tickets, there is an additional charge in favor of my travelnet, being the following:

 The charge for a domestic fare change amounts to EUR 10/ticket, while for a fare abroad is EUR 20/ticket.
 Respectively, the charge for a domestic fare cancellation is EUR 10/ticket and EUR 20/ticket for cancellation of a fare abroad.

In case of cancellation, the commission paid to issue the ticket shall not be refunded. In case of travel cancellation on the air carrier's fault, there is no extra charge.

Company liability

My travelnet shall not assume any responsibility for the following:

1 Non availability of any of the services provided.
2 Errors and omissions pertaining exclusively to suppliers.
3 Any injuries or destruction of personal property resulting from dysfunction of the services offered by suppliers.
4 Reasons of force majeure (strike,delays,overbooking), not subject to my travelnet jurisdiction and for which it shall not assume any responsibility.

User liability

The webpage user must be over 18 years and be aware of the terms of this use, according to the law. In addition, the user shall be exclusively responsible for any possible use of the internet by minors on his behalf.

It is forbidden to use the webpage for speculative or misleading reasons having no relation whatsoever with the purpose it was initially constructed for. Any observation of non lawful use of the webpage by the user in question shall immediately entail exclusion of said user from any access to its services offered.

Intellectual property

It is forbidden to copy, distribute and resale the webpage content; our company shall be its exclusive owner. This immediately excludes the creation of a derivative work as well as the disorientation of the public as regards the real ownership of the specific website and its content.

General transactions terms

My travelnet reserves the right to modify or renew the terms of transactions governing the use of the specific website, at any time and without any previous notice.
